Protecting yourself and your furniture from the effect of the sun in major a consideration when designing your conservatory. There are different sun protection designs; all intended to avoid overheating your conservatory. The reason you need this is that short-wave radiation (sunlight) is converted to long-wave radiation as it enters the conservatory. The long wave radiation can not exit back out and your conservatory heats up. This is known as the Greenhouse effect. It is good for tomatoes, but not so good for you.
The Greenhouse Effect is lovely on cooler days, but in the warm seasons you can just cook if you do not have your sun protection sorted out.
HONEYCOMB AND PLEATED BLINDS
Our honeycomb or pleated blinds are the perfect sun protection in your conservatory. We can make them in almost any shape so you really can tailor them to suit your design. The controls on our blinds can be fully automated.
We manufacture almost all of blinds at our factory in sunny Mosgiel using German componentry, and use Somfy (again, a world leader) for the controls.
We offer Cosiflor pleated blinds or a TwinGo honeycomb range. The choice really depends on what you like the look of. They provide both privacy and light control, and can be made to insulate as well. We have an extensive range of fabrics, colours, patterns and transparency grades to ensure that there is a quality solution for you.
A metallised backing option is available on both our ranges which gives you blinds with outstanding insulating properties.
With Cosiflor and TwinGo blinds you can be sure you have a premium quality product in your conservatory.
TwinGo honeycomb - and Cosiflor pleated blinds offer solutions for a wide range of conservatory window and door designs. Our TwinGo and Cosiflor blinds are also suitable for standard windows and skylights; you don’t need to be limited to your Wintergarten. Our blinds take up very little space so are unobtrusive when not in use, this leaves you more space for the view.

EXTERIOR CONSERVATORY AWNINGS
We offer awnings to shield you and your Wintergarten from the outside. Our wide range of fabrics allows you to choose your design and the level of level of light exclusion you want.
Our conservatory awnings can be fully automated. When the sun shines the awnings can open automatically then, in high winds or on cloudy days the awnings close.
The awnings we offer with our conservatories are German made quality products.
Many different designs, also triangular awnings, can be manufactured.
